Re Laudato Si (Pope, 2015) to discuss FREEDOM from tech paradigm processing of people
In Laudato Si (Vatican, 2015) Encyclical, Pope Francis makes clear the technocratic paradigm's processing of people is not a secret, but a problem the entire world needs to be talking about and asks the entire world peaceably to resist the assault of the technocratic paradigm.
Pope Francis makes clear to the entire world that while we are subjected to tech paradigm processing, technology is viewed as "principal key to the meaning of existence". So we are deprived of true understanding, abilities, agency & freedom of choice by coarsening, reductionist, pathological, agency-removing algorithm-driven processing. There is therefore value unrealisable in the modern world (cultural, economic, spiritual) while we are subjected to the processing. Since Laudato Si, there is now a clear chance to talk openly of freedom from the technocratic paradigm processing of people, and potentially with freedom people will be able to put themselves to good use and the value currently unrealisable (e.g. spiritual, cultural, economic) in the modern world will become realisable.
